GENERAL INFORMATION FOR BOOKING TOUR BOOKING:

PAYMENTS:
All correspondence/s in respect of Tours / Travel Service bookings should be addressed to TRAVEL BANGLADESH LIMITED (TRAVELBD).
For the services contracted, some advance payment should be made to hold the booking on confirmed basis & the balance amount can be paid either before your departure from your country or upon arrival in Travel Spot - but definitely before the commencement of the services. Management personnel's hold the right to decide upon the amount to be paid as advance payment, based on the nature of service & the time left for the commencement of the service.

Apart from above in some cases like Special Train Journeys, hotels or resorts bookings during the peak season (X-Mass, New Year), full payment is required to be sent in advance.

Mode of Payment: Overseas advance payment can be made through Wire Transfer to our bank or through Mail Authorization through American Express credit card. And upon arrival in Travel Spot, the payment can be made through Currency notes or travelers cheque or through Master / Visa credit card. In case of payment through credit card, the bank charges - as applicable - would be levied over & above the total amount.

Cancellation policy: In the event of cancellation of tour / travel services - due to any avoidable / unavoidable reason/s - we must be notified of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, and cancellation charges would be as follows: -

45 days prior to arrival - 10% of the Tour / service cost

15 days prior to arrival - 20% of the Tour / service cost

07 days prior to arrival - 25% of the Tour / service cost

48 hours prior to arrival - 50% of the Tour / service cost

Less than 48hours or No Show - No Refund

In case of Special Trains Journeys and peak season hotel bookings a separate cancellation policy is applicable (which can be advised as and when required).

In case you cancel the trip after commencement, refund would be restricted to a limited amount, which too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers/ contractors we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation & missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.

OUR LIABILITIES & LIMITATIONS AND CONDITIONS:

Please note that after the finalization of the Tour/ service Cost, if there are any Hike in entrance fees of monuments / museums, Taxes, fuel cost or guide charges - by Govt of Bangladesh, the same would be charged as extra.


1.The person who signs the booking form does so on behalf of all the individuals included on it, such that all are bound by the booking conditions. All safaris, tours and extensions described in the brochure will he reafter be referred to as tours. All bookings are made with Travel Bangladesh is a special-interest travel venture. No variation of these conditions may be made unless this is done in writing by a director of the company.


2. A non-refundable deposit of 10% per person is required and shouldbe sent with the completed booking form. In the case of bookings to Alaska a 20% deposit is required and for expedition voyages a 25%deposit is required. We will confirm our acceptance of your booking in writing, and it is at the time we send out this confirmation that a contract comes into existence between us. The balance of the tour price is due 10 weeks prior to departure date (4 months in the case of expeditions voyages). Should this final payment fail to reach us by the date specified, we reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled. If a booking is made 10 weeks or less prior to the departure date then the full amount is payable at the time. If you make your reservation through a travel agent we shall address all communication to the agent. All monies paid by you to a travel agent is held by the travel agent for Travel Bangladesh until such monies are forwarded to Travel Bangladesh .

3. If you wish to make any alterations to your holiday we will makeevery effort to accommodate these, but cannot guarantee that this will be possible. If alterations you request are possible, these will, ofcourse, be subject to any amendment or other charges imposed by any relevant supplier, and a sum of 50 to cover our administrative costs. Requests for amendments must be made in writing by the personwhose signature appears on the booking form.Any cancellation by you, must be made in writing. The date on which the letter is received by us or our agents will determine the cancellation charges applicable. The cancellation charges are expressed as a percentage of the total tour price.


4. Prices quoted in this brochure are based on exchange rates and costs as at 1st February 2004. We will not impose any surcharges on the price of tour arrangements less than 30 days before departure, and if surcharges become necessary before that, we will absorb an amount up to the first 2% (excluding insurance premiums and any amendment charges) or any surcharges that apply. Surcharges may be imposed to cover increases in transportation costs, including the cost of fuel, dues, taxes or fees chargeable for services such as landing taxes or embarkation or disembarkation fees at ports or airports, or the exchange rates applied to the particular package. Where a surcharge is payable, there will be an administration fee of 1 per person to gather with an amount to cover agents commission. If this means paying more than 10% of the holiday price, you will be entitled to cancel your holiday with a full refund of all money.
