Honey Huntig Trip (4 days & 3 nights)

Day 01: Leave Dhaka by domestic flight in the morning for Jessore. On arrival at Jessore Airport, our representative will receive and transfer you to Burigoalini Forest Station to board the boat.  This place is situated at the northwestern point of the Sundarbans Forest. The drive by reserved car/coach will take about three hours time. It can be very hot during this time of the year. Immediate upon your boarding of the boat, the lunch will be served.

In the afternoon you can get a close look at all the honey hunters and their boats. They gather in front of the Burigoalini Forest Station to collect their permission. There will be about 25-50 different groups entering the forest to collect honey. Each group consists of two to three boats and seven or eight people. We shall join one of these groups and show you the way they collect the honey in the Sundarbans Forest. The boat will anchor either at this place or after a few hours of cruising for the overnight stay.

Day 02: On this day you will have the chance to follow the honey collectors into the forest and witness their unique way of locating and collecting honey. This is a very hard and tiring work! It will be possible for you to buy the fresh honey directly from these honey collectors.

Day 03: In the morning we will stay close to the honey collectors and there will be more possibilities for you to see them in action. After lunch the boat will start its return journey towards Munshigonj. The boat will stop at a suitable place for the overnight stay.

Day 04: After breakfast or lunch, depending upon the flight schedule, you will leave the boat at Munshigonj, and drive to Jessore Airport to catch the flight back to Dhaka.
